what a man want in a relationship.

I have read a lot of articles about what women want in a relationship. But I have never read any article about what men wants in a relationship. And i thought to myself.  Men must need something from women that have nothing to do with  the s-word. You all will agree with me that a relationship require both a man and a woman. I am talking about an actual relationship involving two mature individual, who both have emotions. In this post, I will try my best to put together things I have heard and learnt. Some of my point will be from think like a man and act like a lady. Men don’t think the same way women think. Their way of thinking is very much different from a woman. Let me get right to it;

     They want to be your hero

This is important because, there is no man alive that want to be anything less than a hero in the eyes of his woman or family. He wants to feel invincible as a bread winner in the family or as the man in your life. He can’t make you feel like a goddess or a queen, and you make him feel less than a man.

Example:       Girl; baby, my car is broken and I have to be somewhere as early as 7am tomorrow morning.

Guy; No worries I will be here before then to take you there.

Girl; awwn…..baby you are just the best

That last comment did it. Trust me if you create a space to make a man feel invincible, he will treat you like you deserve.    

    
     “love me for who I am”

They need you to accept them the way they are. Many women make the mistake of trying to mold their     men or change him into something he is not. Learn to accept them with all their faults and little annoying habits i.e. when they say the wrong thing,  get too logical, forget something you said a lot,  leave the toilet seat up e.t.c . Only when you learn to accept them the way they are, will they want and learn to become someone better for you.

        Express yourself

So many women are very much afraid to tell their men how they feel because they are afraid to “lose him”. The truth is when you don’t express yourself; you leave them in the dark. Not every man is a mind reader. How will he know who you truly are or how you really feel if you don’t tell him? As a couple you overcome adversity by expressing yourself. Holding things in, only builds a wall between you and your partner which leads to your fear “break up”. Believe it or not, your man truly wants to know who you truly are and how you feel.       

         

     
       Lets communicate

Without the c-word, relationship is like a sand that can very easily be washed away by water.  If you want something from them or want them to do something you tell them.  Many girls expect their men to know when you want them to want to do something, without you telling them. Earlier I said men and women think differently, I think I need to point how. Men are logical thinkers, while women are emotional thinkers. If you can be a little bit logical they will match you and be emotional to a level.

          

         Have a life

You didn’t guess this I know.   Can you tell someone you are in a relationship with to get a life? No man or woman wants a woman or a man that doesn’t have their own routine. Have your set of friends, your own activity, passion e.t.c. the main thing there is that, they want you to actually have things in your life that doesn’t involve them. Yes, they feel honored that you want them to be part of everything in your life but a man is a man. And everyman needs his space.  Your relationship should be on two wheels. One is yours. One is theirs. And together you ride.

Believe in him

A man needs his woman to believe in him. a man with a dream will need you to believe in him. in a man’s hunt for success. There will always be the good season and the bad one. Through it all you have to believe that he will get there. It won’t be easy but it will be worth it.  you don’t need to say “I believe in you” for him  to know you actually do. There are different ways for you to pass the message. Lets take a look at this couple.

Guy; baby, i have been thinking about something.

Girl; what is it?

Guy; hmm.....just a business, i plan on establishing.

Girl; tell me about it.

Guy; i want to go into car dealership. But i have not made any plan on how i want to go about it. i just thought i should let  you know.

Girl;  that's very nice of you.

Guy; thanks bae

Girl; i know you will make it, you have what it takes. i will put you in my prayers.

Guy; *touched* am grateful

Girl; no need to be, that's why you have me. i will always have your back.

  

Believe in your man, that’s the best thing you can do for him.
